Motivation
So I didn't go to the protest today. Amy found it ironic, because both of us would have traveled hundreds of miles to DC for something like this years ago. But now that we live here for good we don't even bother. We suspect it has something to do with not being motivated enough to drag ourselves out of the house. But I don't think it really has anything to do with being unmotivated to protest, as much as repulsion with the sideshow that has become leftist political protest. At every anti-war protest it now becomes a forum to protest about dozens of other issues: books not bombs, political prisoners, manatee hunting. Those issues are all important of course. But specific issue protests seem to lose steam when they turn into movement protests - movements call for a revolution in a way of life, and a lot of people don't actually agree with the idea of a revolution right now (even a number of those actually at the protest). Why we don't want a revolution right now is beyond me. It probably has something to do with motivation after all.
But I did find a cool website that is completely unrelated to protest. If you like freaky comic art like this:

...or this:

...you'll probably like the rest of the stuff on The Perry Bible Fellowship site. Enjoy! But not too much.
